The Architecture and Photography of László György Sáros

László György Sáros is one of the defining figures of Hungarian organic architecture. During his university years, he sought out Imre Makovecz, and this encounter developed into a master–disciple relationship and a deep friendship that shaped both his career and his life. For Sáros, organic architecture is expressed less through the direct use of natural forms or materials than through an attitude that places human life—and with it, time—at the center of architectural thinking.

Sáros considers photography an integral part of architectural practice. The primary subject of his photography is the built environment and the relationship between human-made space and nature—revealing parallels, contrasts, and part-to-whole relationships.

Sáros László György’s buildings, photographs, and writings are all distinct expressions of the same creative impulse: a thinking, creative individual’s desire to communicate—and, above all, “to make others see.”
