Photography exhibition as a collaborative project between the Ernst Museum's Dorottya Gallery, FOTOGALERIE WIEN and the Lumen Foundation
Curators Susanne Gamauf, FOTOGALERIE WIEN and Kati Simon, Dorottya Gallery
The photographic exhibition entitled Urban/Landscape/Intervention, focusing on the extremely topical subject of the urban landscape, presents the works of artists from Austria and Hungary. The selected works concentrate on the cross-sections of nature and civilisation, the real and constructed milieu, urban landscapes in which the symbols and objects left behind take on an important role. Upon viewing the images, depicting surreal scenes, inducing silent memory, or referring to the question of social responsibility or the problems of our world view, the question might arise within us: Where did this come from? And what will become of it?
The Austrian curator of the exhibition will hold a lecture on the evening of 9 January at Dinamo on the activities of the association and gallery Fotogalerie Wien, with an outlook on the Austrian photo scene. On the afternoon of 11 January, the Dorottya Gallery will receive those who would like to present their works to the curator of the exhibition within the framework of a portfolio consultation.
