Made for the Chamber Hall of the Műcsarnok, Réka Szabó’s site-specific installation Time can be recorded was inspired by a crucial element of everyday life, sunlight. The passage of time enters the interior of the exhibition space, which conjures up the atmosphere of the Italian Renaissance. The architectural context and minimalist artistic means inspire philosophical thoughts about perception, seeing and related interpretation experiments.
Réka Szabó obtained a degree in visual communication at the Art Faculty of the Partium Catholic University in Oradea in 2013.She has been involved in numerous residence programmes, art festivals and attended artist colonies. In 2017 she attended the international residence programme Yatoo in South Korea, the Narative Movements international land art colony, and The Golden Thread, an art festival in Suri.
