Cut - Exhibition of Zsolt Vásárhelyi

Zsolt Vásárhelyi is a member of the young generation, who studied painting in the DLA (Doctor of Liberal Arts) programme at the University of Pécs. His works focus on the temporal and the manifestation of change over time, and he employs motion to manifest time on the visual plane. Thus his artistic representations root in notions of motion, movement, immobility, processes, moments, change and story. By using the techniques of painting as well as film and photographic solutions, Vásárhelyi works on his themes simultaneously through diverse forms of expression. These painting solutions are in close relation with his technical picture/film experiments. Indeed, the way he implies and responds to artistic questions is in large part determined by current opportunities meshing fine art with technology/science. In this exhibition, paintings, video and photographical works are to be seen.
