Today’s teenagers live in a world dominated by commerce and technology, which they want to control and which controls them. The self-image they entertain and broadcast is complex and colourful. Can the creative arts draw a collective portrait? Coolhunters seeks to offer an answer by focusing on concepts the young generation (also) puts great store by – such as the body, objects, language, violence, time, space and sexuality –, with the help of videos and portrait films, documentations and interactive works.
